Designed and simulated the equivalent circuit of the transformer in PSCAD software to obtain the distribution of transient voltage along the transformer winding with varying parameters of the transient voltage.Obtained and compared three types of transfer function frequency response for transformer to evaluate the frequency response that can detect the potential inter-tap resonance for transformers that are subjected to high-frequency transient voltage.Designed rod-plane electrode system using Solidworks software and used the electrode system for ageing test of transformer paper-oil insulation under a high electric field repetitive transient voltage. Analysed the changes in dielectric properties of the transformer paper-oil insulation during ageing process.

Presented and organised meetings with the research teams from countries like Japan, United Arab Emirates, and India to discuss the challenges faced by electrical equipment in harsh environmental conditions. Obtained the sensitivity of the measurement configurations to diagnose turn-to-turn short circuit faults in transformer windings by using frequency response analysis technique and statistical correlation parameters.Built a database of the frequency response signatures for the transformers that are subjected to shorted turns earlier in time so that an engineering decision can be made about the remaining life of the transformer in service.
