He has worked in Automobile maintenance workshop till 1984 in the capacity of the supervisor. He was responsible for vehicle fleet maintenance of the organization. In 1984 he was shifted to Office furniture plant (Plant 4). His job responsibility was to maintain all plant equipment. He was involved in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic maintenance of these equipment. He has successfully completed number of process engineering assignments like Automation of drilling and tapping of chair pipes, Tube flaring machine, PU mold line automation for chair armrests, Lean system (single piece flow) for manufacturing chair seats and backs, Automation of table top transportation etc. He was involved in purchasing decisions, buying,installing and maintaining wood working machines viz. - Anthon Saw, Brandt, Homag, Nottmayer, Langbow CNC tube bending machine, Welding Robot etc. All these machines were procured from Germany and UK.
