With an MBA in marketing and over a decade of experience, I currently serve as Deputy General Manager - Advocacy and Associate Editor at the Consumer Education and Research Centre (CERC). My journey began in the banking and management consulting sectors before transitioning to consumer advocacy in 2011. Since then, I have focused on content creation, project supervision, and policy advocacy to empower consumers.A notable achievement was supervising a two-year project on misleading advertisements, commissioned by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India. I have also been instrumental in organizing and executing seminars, workshops, and public awareness campaigns, addressing issues like internet safety, telecom consumer rights, and health insurance grievances.My work extends to engaging with policymakers and media, driving impactful consumer advocacy. As a part of many advocacy work done by the organisation I have conducted thorough research, prepared the suggested areas of actions, made representations to the concerned authorities and create awareness among pressure groups to bring the desired result.Recognizing my passion for the work and potential to further the cause, I was recommended by my seniors for a mentorship programme with Consumers International, which I completed successfully.I am committed to continuing my mission to protect consumer interests and shape fairer business practices.
