Did the design and development of various machine subassemblies for final deployment in the machines.Reviewed and modified existing 2D drawings of HPT Paterson Rigby Dr Paterson and converted to 3D drawings.Analyzed the critical fatigue pressure limits of the auto-frettage pressure vessel using numerical FEM analysis.Designed subassemblies of Friction welding machine including Run-out measurement apparatus, Conveyor belt mechanism for handling variable diameter jobs, Spindle design for grooving, Safety door mechanism, etc.Designs were successfully prototyped and were actually implemented in the currently existing machines.Enabled department of Earth Science IITK to simulate extreme pressure and temperature conditions faced by the rocks at several kilometres beneath the earth surface in a small volume via HPT Paterson Rig.

Designed Capillary Rheometerfor testing of materials and formulations of complex rheological properties, whose viscosity and viscoelasticity can vary depending upon external conditions applied.Developed a novel 3D CAD model of assembly of Capillary Rheometer using Solidworks software Performed Image processing of tiny fluid droplet formed at the end of syringe needle using MATLAB software.The designed model was actually used further to manufacture the experimental setup of Rheometer.The produced machine proved more affordable than the externally procured machines costing in crores.
