Responsible for the provision of cellular pathology, molecular and companion diagnostics laboratory Testing for cancer and other diseases to the NHS and private sector hospitals within Cheshire, Midlands, South West and Wales. Customers include Pathology Managers, Histology Managers and Biomedical scientists. My aim was to increase the work sent in to our laboratories and to win new hospital accounts. Also held responsible for the provision of serology reagents and blood products for blood banks and blood transfusion laboratories. Held as project manager for two sexual health services which were set up. ‘Don’t Pass it on’ (DPIO) provides free tests for 16 to 24 year olds and the ‘Just between us’ (JBU) campaign is targeted for adults 25 years and over. Customers included sexual health commissioners within the local authorities in the UK. My customer database was created by contacting the local councils individually. Also held a key responsibility in writing tenders to bid for NHS and Government contracts.
