CurrentTHE DEVELOPMENT OF SOUTH SHAMKHA INFRASTRUCTUREContract No: PD/CA/BPS/AG/SRNIL/5244L/2011/63INTRODUCTION FOR THE PROJECT“The DEVELOPMENT OF SOUTH SHAMKHA – Abu Dhabi” is a mega development spread over 4,300 hectares which will provide 12,000 new villas with retails, commercial and community facilities. The newly design communities will have public amenities like parks, pedestrian friendly landscaped recreation areas, shopping and retail, mosques, hospitals, clinics, health clubs, schools, playgrounds, sports center and entertainment areas. A green belt winds its way throughout the master plan to connect various district parks with district centers and ultimately provide a link to the city center and larger central parks. The compounds will be linked to nearby neighborhoods and the main highway. The project works have been divided into four areas named Lot 1, 2, 3 & 4. Each lot is further sub divided in phases (phase 1, phase 2, phase 3 and phase 4) which have milestones for completion and handover. The contract covers one complete lot. The Total development area is approximately 4000 Ha, located in Shamkha area, approximately 10 Km southeast of Abu Dhabi International Airport to the desert side of Emirates Highway.SCOPE OF PROJECTThe scope of the works under this contract is to build the roads and infrastructure works for South Shamkha Development such as The construction, completion, commission and statutory maintenance of the: Roads Sewerage system Storm drainage system Potable & Fire Fighting Water Networks Irrigation system (ducts/sleeves only) LV & MV Network Street lighting Network and Traffic signals Telecommunication ducting Various structural concrete elements, valve chambers etc… Pump stations and reservoirs Ducting and Protection of Facilities.
