In my role as a Machine Learning Engineer within the Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AICoE), I contributed to the development -employing a CRISP-DM methodology- of statistical and (un)supervised ML solutions within the domains of o.a. Statistics, Finance, Marketing & Risk, such as:- Anomaly detection.- Early warning system for mortgage defaults.- Early detection of mortgage refinances (outside of the bank).- Predicting customer interaction to (multi)channel marketing campaigns.- Data Drift framework.- Isolating the effect of inflation on the number of defaults in the mortgage segment, with the goal of estimating the preventative outreach team’s capacity.- Lookalike models with the goal of identifying customers for cross sell purposes.- Generative AI PoCs.- Development of inhouse Model Factory and Feature Store.

In my role at Fruitpunch AI, I contributed to the development of the ML object detection framework with the goal of detecting poachers in the parks of South Africa’s. - Development and employing of (Variational) Autoencoders in the context of Image Anomaly Detection.- Contributed to the development of the preprocessing pipeline, feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning and performance evaluation.
