http://secdev-foundation.org/At SecDev, my role involves developing strategic outreach plans for the organization's Syria internet freedom programme. My tasks involve innovating and putting into work new ways to engage beneficiaries, partners and like-minded groups to raise awareness, educate and change behaviour. Over the past 5+ years, I have grown this effort to an impressive level by building long lasting partnerships and capturing results and impact to prove effectiveness and success.As a founding member of the programme, I have contributed largely to its evolution and to setting its strategic direction. I also helped develop most of its learning and teaching material and contributed to its research effort by producing short paper-like reports on a number of issues.My work has also inspired other programmes to explore and adopt some of the ideas I have developed and piloted for remote outreach.

My role at the ILO was to oversee the organisation's programme in Syria, manage its relationships, identify and pursue new opportunities and provide input to guide its strategic direction.

I joined HIBA as a lecturer in 2009 teaching International Negotiations (in English) to the Marketing and International Trade 5th year students.

As programmes manager at the British Council, Syria I had an exceptional opportunity to combine my old passions for the arts, architectural training and development expertise in a uniquely rewarding way. Projects like Nahnu Together and Young Leaders were not particularly complex, yet they were uniquely affective. Working across countries and cultures and being part of cross-country teams was both inspiring and informative. Working with young people, educators, artists, CSOs, governmental and semi-governmental organizations has broadened my understanding of how these various elements can work together in harmony and deepened my knowledge of how strategic programme management works. Participating in high level regional strategic meetings and sitting on the councils management team was also a great learning opportunity and an opportunity to test my abilities help set strategic directions and shape the councils plans. I am proud to be associated with some great projects the council has carried out while I was in charge of a large portion of its operations. The impact on people who benefited from these projects is everlasting in many cases and this makes this professional experience a very rewarding one.

The two years I spent at SOS were highly rewarding for two reasons. First comes the fact that I was working to help children have a better life and future. Second comes the complexity of the role itself. Throughout my term at SOS, I have introduced many successful programmes and initiatives. From fundraising to human resource development on one hand to helping families cope with extreme poverty and social issues so they can care better for children in their own homes. I was responsible for the day to day affairs of and NGO that employed over 100 people as well as steering its operations strategically. I have worked with colleagues, the board and the regional and international offices to formulate strategies and budgets to insure SOS vision is fulfilled and SOS Syria's goals are met. I achieved remarkable increases in income and expanded reach by many folds. I led SOS Syria to a new phase of success and recognition as an authority on childcare and children rights in Syria.
