In my years of being in the construction field, it was very tough. The biggest thing is knowing what it is that you really are interested in, and seeing yourself waking up everyday to do so. Construction took me by surprise because I was once a sports management major. Learning how buildings were built did not interest me until I walked around Morgan State university and observed the various designs of the buildings. At that very moment I knew I was going to be an architect. That plan didn't work out so good. I knew I wanted to be apart of the design making buildings. I spoke with the chairman of the construction management department and before I knew it, I was taking pre-requisite courses for Construction Management. Internships made me a huge fan of the industry. Actually getting on job sites and learning the basics of being a inspector. taking knowledge from people who have over 30 years of experience. Like I said its tough but once you decides that this is what you really want to continue to do, trust me it becomes very easy. God give his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers.
