Outside of my primary role at BT, I serve on the Muslim Network Panel, where I am committed to curating engaging and informative events for our community. As a Payroll Officer at BT, I specialize in resolving payroll queries on the helpdesk, catering to a workforce of 15k employees including MBNL. With a commitment to excellence, I handle approximately 300 calls per payweek, ensuring accurate data input and maintaining a 100% error-free record. I meticulously conduct audits and generate reports to uphold quality standards. Additionally, I leverage workplace platforms to disseminate crucial pay information, thereby enhancing the overall work experience for employees.In addition to my primary responsibilities, I am dedicated to ensuring GDPR compliance and upholding stringent data protection measures in all payroll operations. I stay abreast of statutory legislation pertinent to payroll, guaranteeing adherence to legal requirements. As a payroll helpdesk officer, effective communication is paramount, and I regularly liaise with senior managers, HR business partners, and external stakeholders, including courts and third-party companies, to facilitate seamless payroll processes and address any pertinent issues promptly and professionally.

The senior manager would ask questions in order to increase their knowledge from a person from an Asian background.
