In my global health career, so far, I have played a pivotal role in addressing critical health challenges, focusing on antimicrobial resistance, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, and sexually transmitted infections. My tenure as Programme Management Officer at the World Health Organization's Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office and as Country Director at UW International Training and Education Centre for Health in India highlights my significant contributions towards antimicrobial stewardship and HIV prevention and treatment. I have effectively led interventions across 22 countries, implemented innovative service delivery models reaching over half a million people living with HIV, and established strategic partnerships to enhance health outcomes. My leadership roles, spanning executive directorships and clinical program direction, along with collaborations with national and international entities across Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, demonstrate a profound commitment to improving global health through strategic partnership building, program management, and the development of innovative solutions to bridge capacity gaps and strengthen health systems.
