As a first-year at Wellesley College working towards a double major in Environmental Studies and Peace & Justice Studies, I am preparing to address the urgent environmental and social challenges facing our world. My academic journey is grounded in a passion for equitable solutions and a drive to foster meaningful, systemic change.During my gap year, I worked with communities across Central and South America, gaining hands-on experience in environmental sustainability and social equity projects. Whether building eco-friendly infrastructure in Colombia or organizing educational initiatives in Peru, I witnessed the profound impact that grassroots efforts can have on both people and ecosystems. These experiences have only strengthened my determination to advocate for climate policies that prioritize both environmental protection and social justice. In leadership roles, such as co-founding a climate advocacy group and serving on a city climate commission, I have seen firsthand the power of collaboration and inclusivity in driving successful campaigns. I believe that lasting change is built through collective action, and I strive to create spaces where diverse voices are heard and valued.Looking ahead, I am eager to connect with organizations and professionals who are equally passionate about addressing climate challenges. I am driven by the belief that together, we can build a future where sustainability and justice are not only possible but central to our global efforts.
