Anya Swapp is purpose driven and intentional as she develops herself within the Fashion Industry. Expanding her knowledge and experiences, Anya studied Fashion Business Management and minored in Ethics and Sustainability at the Fashion Institute of Technology, FIT, and seeks to further develop her Fashion Business career by helping companies achieve their sales goals. Her aspiration is to become a Buyer. While studying at FIT, Anya gained a wealth of experiences through her involvement in her college community, the Industry and wider society. On campus, Anya is a leader. She fulfilled her role as an advocate for International Students, a peer mentor and a Student Government Senator for International Students. An all rounded student, she became the MVP of the FIT Track and Field team, a student Health and Fitness Assistant, as well as a Vice President of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, where she is committed to community service initiatives. Anya also got involved in clubs such as the Merchandising Society, BRAG and BSU at FIT. Off campus, Anya was active in New York Fashion Weeks, and was granted opportunities to expose herself to various roles within the Industry such as in Buying, Styling and Production. A culturally aware individual with an international background, Anya easily adapts wherever she goes with an open-mind. Her experiences in Sweden, Trinidad and Tobago and New York has lead her to become a curious and driven learner who believes in the importance of being an holistic achiever.
