I am an experienced professional with over 3 years of expertise in the fields of education and public health, having worked with various organizations. During my time at Getz Pharma’s Public Health Department and Aahung’s Research, Learning, and Evaluation Department, I had the opportunity to contribute to projects funded by key international and national stakeholders, including The Girls Fund, NORAD, Indus Hospital, Malala Fund, the Government of Sindh Local Government Department, the Sindh Human Rights Commission, and others.I have been involved in the monitoring and evaluation of SRHR youth projects across the provinces of Sindh and Punjab at the community level. Additionally, I have coordinated national-level initiatives such as PAK-SEHAT (a cardiovascular disease research study), Rabies Free Pakistan (a public-private project focused on eliminating rabies), and research studies on maternal health and child marriage.I am a Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Youth Leader and hold a degree in Social Development & Policy from Habib University, Pakistan. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's in Health and International Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). As an advocate for youth empowerment, I work at the intersection of education and public health. I am an active member of several national youth advocacy platforms in Pakistan, including the National Youth Assembly and the National Youth Parliament, hosted by the Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT).Driven by my commitment to youth empowerment and improving their welfare in Pakistan, I founded Bagh-e-Sakina, a youth-focused social enterprise aimed at enhancing the living standards of children and youth through innovative social programs. One of our initiatives, which focuses on capacity-building training for primary caregivers and children, covers key topics like children’s rights awareness, inclusivity, gender sensitivity, and public health. The program aims to create more learning-friendly environments in middle- and low-income schools, and we have already trained over 1,500 students from various local schools in Karachi.In addition, I am a content creator with a passion for raising awareness on social issues. I run a YouTube channel (@anzalabbas) and have published two research papers and several conference papers on development-related topics.
