Abigail helps donors figure out their why and how to holistically connect to the mission through Charitable Gift Planning at Earthjustice. She also helps fundraisers connect their DEI values to their day jobs through presenting and training others. Abigail has spoken at AFP Icon Toronto, the National Council on Planned Gifts(2022,2023), SoCal(2022) Northern California (2023) Minnesota (2023) and Seattle (2023) local NACGP chapters and at AADO-CASE(2023 and for a handful of private events on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion topics and Community Centric Fundraising. She is a Global Council Co- Chair for Community Centric Fundraising, a Board co chair for SoCal CGP and on NACGP’s D&I committee. Previous roles include Associate Development Officer with Church World Service (CWS), and work as a Field Team Leader for the US Refugee Admissions Program (managed by CWS), in which she helped other refugee workers work efficiently and collaboratively in field locations throughout Sub-Saharan Africa to facilitate refugee processing. Abigail is a graduate of MATUL (Master's in Transformational Urban Leadership), a multidisciplinary program fusing the fields of anthropology, political science, development studies and leadership to focus on community development and organizing among the urban poor. She wrote a thesis on people with developmental disabilities in Kibera and their levels of community and family involvement and a white paper on Earthjustice’s DEI journey.
