Anthony Ormsbee-Hale is the Chief People Officer at Civitas Senior Living, an innovative provider of senior living services operating across multiple states. As a member of the executive leadership team, Anthony strategically aligns HR initiatives with the company’s overarching objectives, advocating for innovative business solutions through effective people strategies.In his role as CPO, Anthony leads a broad range of HR functions, including strategic leadership, talent management, workforce planning and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, organizational development, HR operations and technology, compliance, and risk management. He also provides executive coaching and mentoring, enhancing the leadership capabilities within the organization.Beginning in January 2025, Anthony will pursue a Master of Public Policy degree at Southern Methodist University (SMU), Class of 2026, further expanding his expertise in policy analysis and ethical leadership to drive impactful solutions in the senior living industry and beyond.In 2018, Anthony co-founded the Texas Assisted Living Association’s Young Professionals Network, demonstrating his commitment to mentoring the next generation of leaders. He remains actively involved in industry committees, including the Texas Assisted Living Association’s Workforce Development Committee.Anthony holds senior-level certifications from the Society for Human Resource Management and the HR Certification Institute and recently completed the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt program. When not leading HR strategy at Civitas, Anthony facilitates the Texas Assisted Living Association’s Regulations Class and the Administrator’s Overview Class in addition to hosting the monthly TALATalks podcast series.Anthony has been recognized for his achievements with the 2021 Texas Assisted Living Association HERO Award, Senior Housing News’s Future Leaders Class recognition, and the Civitas Employee of the Year award in 2022. He was also named one of HR Executive Magazine’s HR Rising Stars in 2024.Identified as a Maverick by his Predictive Index Profile, Anthony is known for his innovative and ‘outside the box’ thinking, driving change and embracing challenges with unwavering resilience. Outside of the office, Anthony can be found enjoying time with his family, chasing down two energetic beagles, and trying to catch up on the latest book he picked up at the airport when he still hasn’t finished the last book he picked up.
