•Participate in the upkeep of trails and greenways and serve as a source of information for park visitors.•Develop and put into action specialized programs and projects aimed at enhancing and expanding city greenway access and awareness. This includes coordinating projects, engaging partners, and recruiting volunteer groups.•Work alongside Parks and Public Service staff to identify and address maintenance, safety, invasive species, erosion, and landscaping issues.•Assist the city's Urban Forestry Department, other city departments, and community partners with forestry and outdoor education tasks.•Invasive species identification and removal, including leading education and volunteer events focused on plant invasive species and planting native alternatives.•Oversee the Greenways Ambassadors volunteer program, from identifying and recruiting volunteers through various channels to training and working alongside them to address any inquiries.

The objective of ETEE is to share environmental stewardship best practices information with rural communities, with a specific focus on water quality management issues. This includes establishing a framework for education and outreach that can be replicated across East TN counties. I currently serve as the Grainger County, TN Coordinator.

•Connect to the campus community in order to educate students, faculty, staff, and community members about sustainability.•Give presentations to small or large groups about sustainability topics. •Plan and execute events throughout the academic year, including, but not limited to, Earth Month, America Recycles Day, and two environmental competitions for residence halls, the POWER Challenge and The Race to Zero Waste.•Recruit and manage volunteers for weekly volunteer work days at our various sites, as well as miscellaneous volunteer events, including UTK football Zero Waste Gamedays.•Curate the Office of Sustainability’s online presence, including maintaining the website, writing and editing blog posts, coordinating information for the monthly office newsletter, and managing and creating content for all Office of Sustainability social media platforms.•Recruit, train, and direct a team of student workers and interns.

A work and education exchange program offering hands-on experience in organic farming. I worked on organic farms in both Brooksville, Florida, and Blanco, Texas. Job duties varied, including but not limited to:•daily farm and garden tasks•coordinating volunteers on farm(s)•learning about ecological farming practices and environmental stewardship

•Maintained a hardworking and positive attitude while performing all tasks in order to cultivate guest satisfaction and a productive work environment. This included:•Training new bartenders and servers as needed•Extensive menu knowledge•Ability to perform my role efficiently

A self-guided internship position in which students create and implement a sustainability project on campus. I created and spearheaded a front-of-house compost pilot program to improve composting efforts for students and faculty throughout campus. In such, I:•Led seminars•Conducted meetings•Tabled events to advocate for increased compost accessibility•Educated students and the larger Knoxville population about environmental and sustainability efforts as a whole.

•Provided visitors and students with assistance as needed•Answered office telephones•Provided clerical assistance•Engaged in emergency preparedness procedures.

•Researched campaign opponents and policy platforms while effectively increasing candidate social media exposure during a global pandemic.•Tabled 5+ events targeted at young adult voters to increase candidate exposure and general voter education as well as recruited and trained volunteers to participate in the political process.

During this semester-long position I worked with professors to facilitate writing instruction for first and second year college students and worked hands-on with students to improve their writing skills.
