Project Title: Retail Buying Function – Planning and MerchandisingProject Details: Interned as a Buying Intern for the retail firm, the job function included budgeting, pricing, sale analysis and the buy for the upcoming season along with stock allocations SKUs, and the marketing strategies among the 13 outlets of BHS, apart from the front-end functions like visual merchandising plan, training and coordination with the shop-floor staff. During the tenure there, the number of BHS outlets were reduced from 15 to 13 – the job involved consolidation of stocks from the closed outlets to the other functional outlets and the warehouse. Feedback on the fabrics and silhouette impressions in the Arab market was also sent to the UK office.
