My career ambitions have been largely influenced by my agriculturally driven family and home state. As such I hope to continue making contact with growers in a manner that will allow them to maintain the highest quality of product or commodity that is both sustainable and profitable. My specialty within agriculture is using integrated pest management approaches to preventing and managing pathogens of agronomically important crops. These management techniques include fertilizer, herbicide, and fungicide programs that minimize pests and increase yields. These integrated pest management approaches have used meteorologic, field, and data science approaches to better understand complex dynamics that result in economic losses to growers throughout the United States.
