I am currently working as a Geotechnical Engineer I at Freeport's Bagdad mine. My role is to perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspections of the three tailings facilities on site. I also write reports for these inspections to ensure proper documentation practices are performed in a timely manner. Another large portion of this job includes monitoring pore pressures in each of the tailings facilities using piezometers. My role also includes creating drawings and maps within Civil 3D to help with construction processes at the operation.

Led a sampling project on both upstream and centerline tailing dam construction methods. Developed a map of the tailing delivery lines system by locating valve and pipe locations and elevations to assist with future hydraulic studies. Assisted in supporting the survey technicians when needed. Presented sampling and mapping project to the site managers.

Bagdad, Az

Assisted in weekly piezometer pore pressure readings, tests, and updates of a Tailings Dam facility. Conducted an engineering study and sampling project of the upstream dam construction following ASTM standards for nuclear gauge testing and gradation testing. Gained presentation experience by presenting a project at the company intern conference.
