I am a synthetic organic chemist who has worked in industry for 7+ years, primarily in the field of drug discovery.Since the first year of my undergraduate degree at Nottingham, I knew synthetic organic chemistry would be the passion in my professional life. This realisation led me to complete a PhD at University of Bath in asymmetric homogeneous catalysis, where I honed my practical and theoretical skills in multi-step synthesis and route design, as well as the persistence and organisation required to fulfil ambitious objectives. These days, while I am constantly gaining new experience in the laboratory of a breadth of chemical reactions and techniques, learning about medicinal chemistry and drug research has given a different focus to my career development and I look forward to continue to expand my knowledge of this field.
