In this role, I was the first point of contact for stakeholders in the electoral process. As a non-partisan representative of Elections BC, I was accountable for providing high quality, responsive client services by telephone. This included directing calls internally and externally, and utilizing a variety of digital software tools to respectfully resolve simple to complex incoming inquiries via telephone with an emphasis on providing information and education. I was also responsible for supporting the production and maintenance of voter information data with attention to confidentiality and privacy.

In this summer internship position, I used my creative and administrative skills to do a variety of tasks including: providing administrative support at the office, hands-on help at children's theatre programming if needed, helping to manage social media channels, and putting my graphics skills to work to help design things like programmes, posters, etc. Additionally, I crafted and distributed press releases, and created educator's learning guides to go along with the upcoming theatre productions. I also was responsible for selecting, styling and altering the costumes for the production of The Addams Family.

I interned for a summer as an assistant to the Community Projects Manager at Atomique Productions Ltd., Victoria’s leading independent concert promotions company (Atomique has since merged with MGR Group). Responsibilities for this position included assisting in creating and delivering notices to businesses, Assisting with office administration and support, answering phones and acting as office runner, editing data via Airtable and Excel software, taking vendor payments over the phone, acting on event sites for Car Free YYJ and Cook Street Village Block Party as a “Block Captain” overseeing and aiding a section of vendors, assisting with community activations such as the living flag during Canada Day Celebrations, assisting with ticket sales, will-call and special-access passes for two music festivals: Rock the Shores and Phillips Backyard Weekender.

I worked seasonally at the merchandise Kiosk for the Victoria HarbourCats baseball club, selling clothing and other accessories at the games. Primarily, I would assist customers in finding correct fit, promoting our products, and handling transactions. This position also entailed going over inventory, tracking sales, opening and closing the kiosk each game, designing the displays, and organizing new shipments.

I was responsible for opening and closing the store, prepping food drink ingredients, bussing tables, taking orders and performing transactions, making drinks and food, and occasionally dish washing when needed.
