About Philip Nguyen, M.A.

I am an educator in Ethnic Studies and Asian American Studies and community organizer currently based in the Bay Area, passionate about the plight and resiliency of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian communities living in the diaspora. My critical pedagogy as an activist-scholar is rooted in my history, experience, and identity as a first-generation college graduate from a low-income community — born and raised in East Lancaster, California to Vietnamese refugees. As an aspiring advocate for the marginalized and unheard, I amplify the urgent need for social and racial justice through community empowerment and storytelling.
