I lead the teaching, curriculum development, and student support for:- AAS 373 | Vietnamese American Identities: an upper-division undergraduate course on the Vietnamese American experience since 1975 which delves into topics of educational adjustment, psychological adaptation, socioeconomic integration, cultural maintenance, community formation, and processes of racialization for refugees and the children of refugees- AAS 372 | Vietnamese American Literature: an upper-division undergraduate course on 1.5 and 2nd generation Bildungsroman which critically examines liminality of Vietnamese American refugee subjects in prose and poetry within contexts of displacement, and epistemological violence with respect to issues of race, class, gender, sexuality, and trauma- AAS 210 | History of Asians in the United States: a lower-division undergraduate course on a comparative analysis of the experiences of different Asian American groups and their place in the general history and development of American society that explores power and inequality as it relates to immigration, colonization, citizenship, war, community, politics, and social movements.- AAS 108 | Asian American Artistic Explorations: a lower-division undergraduate introductory course on Asian American arts as modalities for self-expression, community reflection, and as tools for organizing and activism, critically analyzing visual culture, digital media, autobiography, and self-portraiture to foster artistic literacy.

- Oversee and ensure the ongoing development of the organization.- Lead and manage existing grant obligations and identify potential donors or additional sources of funding.- Prepare grant applications and proposals. Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets, preparing reports and budget recommendations as needed.- Develop curricula for VAR programs, including the Worker’s Rights Education and Outreach program that will be implemented in workers’ rights trainings and outreach efforts and the Student Engagement and Education for Development and Success (SEEDS) Summer Youth Program.- Plan English language-specific outreach strategies, including establishing relationships with media relations, including social media outreach, and coordination of young professionals, students and youth-specific outreach efforts for VAR programs. - Schedule and conduct outreach, education, and social media events in the Vietnamese American young professional, youth, and students community to raise awareness about the importance of and generate excitement for civic engagement, inclusive of the 2020 Census, voter registration, and voter participation.

I am the Producer for ACCENTED: Dialogues in Diaspora, a series of virtual programs that features a variety of writers, poets, artists, actors, filmmakers, scholars, and other cultural producers from the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian diaspora, hosted by Pulitzer-prize winning author Viet Thanh Nguyen.The Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network (DVAN) believes that the stories and aesthetics of a thriving Vietnamese diaspora can unite our global community. Our mission is to celebrate and foster diasporic Vietnamese literary voices. DVAN presents nonfiction, fiction, and poetry to empower Vietnamese artists in the diaspora and to promote understanding and dialogue within our community, and with others. Our complex and diverse stories must be championed and passed on to current and future generations. We are refugees, immigrants, survivors, and descendants, and our stories must be heard.

-Support the creation, growth, development, and administration of partnerships and programs between PIVOT, particularly the Young Vietnamese Americans (YVA) Committee, and the Union of North American Vietnamese Student Associations (UNAVSA) towards the goal of collaborating with Vietnamese Americans nationally of all ages with other communities to promote a common agenda-Lead the provision of opportunities for mentorship and training initiatives between PIVOT and UNAVSA membership constituencies-Increase participation of Vietnamese Americans of all ages in the voting process at the local, state, and national levels-Identify, train, and support Vietnamese Americans to promote and support (1) human, civil, immigrant, and refugee rights; (2) increasing cultural, linguistic, and financial access to quality education, health care, and economic opportunities; and (3) protecting the environment

- Develop curriculum and teach an introductory seminar centered on relevant Asian American community issues and Asian American identity exploration and development for first-year freshmen and transfer students at UC Berkeley- Create culturally relevant and responsive curriculum that fosters academic, personal, and professional growth- Collaborate with Asian Pacific American Student Development (APASD) Center staff to assess and enhance community involvement and mentorship strategies for undergraduate students in APATH

- Supervised and trained 12 research assistants in grant-writing, copy-editing, and conducting interdisciplinary research- Developed curriculum and assisted in the teaching for Asian American Studies 150E, an upper-division undergraduate course on the experiences of Southeast Asian Americans in the United States - Assisted in the research and copyediting for the anthology: Fight the Tower: Asian American Women Against Injustice in the Academy (2019).

- Mentored 150+ low-income students at Fremont High School in Oakland to promote the pursuit of higher education- Planned 10+ academic and professional development workshops on admissions, financial aid, and personal statement writing- Collaborated with school administration to analyze student demographics to increase the rate of matriculation

- Processed and archived library materials for circulation within the Asian American, Chicano, Native American, and Comparative Ethnic Studies collections of the Ethnic Studies Library- Assisted librarians in the processes of data collection and cataloging of library materials- Led workshops on archival research strategies and methods for undergraduate students
