Elected to governance of the Marae and into leadership of the descendants of Ngai Kohatu and Ngati Hinehika. The whakapapa links and Rohe boundaries converge on at a confluence of several Awa Tapu. Based at the head of the Wairoa River this valley is the centre of many treaties and agreements. Feb 2019 till Aug 2021 filled the role of Chair and Secretary.
