Kia ora, tēnā koe.I am of Ngati Kahungunu, Rongomaiwahine, Tūhoe, and Ruapani descent, my Whakapapa is of Ngā Uri ō Hinekorako rāua ko Ngai te Apatu o Te Rangi.I have most recently served 6 years as Napier City Councillor for the Nelson Park Ward of Napier City, was re-elected in 2019, and was appointed lead councillor for the environmental portfolio for Napier City. Concurrently with the elected role, also an elected representative of the descendants of Te Wairoa on the settlement journey and entity, Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa Trust Limited. Appointed to lead role consultation engagement with 35,000 registered members worldwide in 2016. Later shifting to lead director for environmental [Taiao Management] where I was concurrently appointed to Hawkes Bay Regional Council's Regional Planning Committee with full director support.Elected to Co-Chair of this regional committee and representative of 11 Iwi groups within the catchment of HB Regional Council. This enabled me to focus my energy on environmental representation as a general candidate for Hawke's Bay Regional Council elections in 2022.I have diversified my work experience to provide a more holistic approach towards working with others in various industries, this speaks to my ability to adapt to different situations and thrive under pressure. Every employment position has been undertaken with a self-driven, results-oriented outlook.
