Adam Larsen is a pioneer in the field of educational data science. A career educator with backgrounds in psychology, computer programming, teaching, applied statistics, web development, and school leadership, Adam blends this unique skillset into an engaging combination of talent, effort, and execution. His core passion is using quantitative information to improve outcomes for students, from mining extant data for trends, to creating new methods for collection and analysis, to designing and carrying out experiments and studies in the applied setting.Adam is currently employed as Assistant Superintendent for Community Unit School District 220 in Oregon, IL. He has presented at conferences at the regional and national level, including the Raising Student Achievement, the Illinois Chapter of ASCD, IL School Psychologists Association, and National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). In the PowerSchool User Group (PSUG) community, he is an internationally-known speaker, consultant, and developer, and is a featured presenter at state, regional, and national PSUG meetings.Adam is currently pursuing a doctorate of education in Curriculum Leadership from Northern Illinois University, with an expected completion date of 2016. His other interests include backpacking, running, amateur radio, and community theater.As a volunteer, Adam serves as Chair of the Computer Information Systems Advisory Panel at Kishwaukee College, Chair of the Iowa State University Young Alumni Council, and Director at Large of the ISU Alumni Band.
