Responsible for the delivery of the battery mechanical system to meet quality, cost, weight, timing and functional targets. As a Lead Engineer, I work with design engineers to ensure the CAD designs and drawings are completed with the correct level of integrity. Key responsibilities:· Ownership of Design and Release of battery modules across various PHEV and BEV battery programmes.· Ensuring robust timing plans are in place that achieves Program milestones and targets · Developing and releasing updates to Engineering Specifications.· Ensuring DFMEA, Design Rules, RMDV, Statement of Work process/documents are diligently and transparently implemented in the design condition at the appropriate design maturity gateways.· Leading issue resolution (AIMS) and Change Management (WERS) processes to ensure that all changes are implemented robustly and support programme objectives. · Driving the resolution of cross functional technical / manufacturing issues using a Global 8D process· Leading suppliers through design phase, procurement of prototypes, production tooling and ensure components perform to requirements.

Responsible for implementing design solutions and communicating with CATL and Samsung SDI CAD engineers to meet D7 & D8 PHEV battery functional targets. · Produced CAD geometry (in CATIA & Teamcenter) that delivers engineering solutions for both prototype and production parts.· Collaborated with a cross functional team clearly communicating design status to key stakeholders such as manufacturing, suppliers, component owners and management· Optimised design solutions for weight, cost, manufacturing feasibility, quality and functional attributes.· Ensured adherence to JLR CAD (iPLM) standards.

TFX Programme.Responsible for aerodynamic surface design of a twin-engine, fifth generation stealth jet fighter being developed by TAI & BAE Systems, UK.· Designed complete external geometry for CFD applications and wind tunnel tests.· Worked closely with Survivability and Weapon Integration teams to ensure designed surfaces meet the stealth requirements.· Participated to Multi-Disciplinary-Optimization (MDO) process, focusing on aircraft sizing, structural layout and aircraft integration · Managed a small team of Junior Surface Design Engineers

HURKUS Programme.Responsible for CAD design and release of structural fuselage components of an EASA certified (according to CS-23 requirements) aircraft developed as a new basic trainer and ground attack aircraft for the Turkish Armed Forces. I worked on this programme from concept phase to certification & delivery. · Designed and released more than 300 metallic and GFRP body structures in CATIA for various design solutions and systems such as: Engine Mount, Engine Access Panels, NACA Air Intakes, Spin Recovery System Interface, Skin Panels, Wing-Body Fairing etc. · Generated 3D FT&A (MBD) and 2D assembly drawings with GD&T per ASME standard.· Managed a small team of graduate engineers and signed-off their design work.· Generated Engineering Change Orders and Redlines.· Worked closely with manufacturing engineering during assembly process· Drafted strain gage layouts for full scale static test· Prepared design verification reports for EASA certification
