I'm the cofounder of Lost Lantern, an independent bottler of American whiskey modeled on the long tradition of independent bottlers in Scotland. Lost Lantern is deeply committed to transparency and shining a light on the most exciting whiskies being made across the United States.Before starting Lost Lantern, I was a whiskey reviewer and senior whisky specialist for Whisky Advocate and a senior editor for the drinks magazine Market Watch. Before that, I wrote about video games, TV, and culture for Newsweek. I have also worked for Nintendo and for Comedy Central. I have an MBA in Sustainable Innovation from the University of Vermont and a BA in Classical Languages from Hamilton College.
