The RAP created a space for community participation for environmental organisations in Lara State. In coordination with the Centre for Tropical Conservation at Duke University in the USA, I contributed to the design of the Parkswatch methodology and published 17 bilingual reports documenting the conservation status of the National Parks on the website www.parkswatch.org. In addition, I wrote press releases, gave interviews for radio and print media and held regular meetings with representatives of government agencies. I was responsible for the communications strategy that made Parkswatch-Venezuela (parkswatch.org and bioparques.org) the most visited and cited online reference on Venezuela's national parks in 2005 and 2007, which earned us the Excellence Award in the eScience category of the World Summit Award at the UN World Summit on the Information Society. - Contributed with the drafting of the report on the Governance of the Protected Areas System in Venezuela, as part of a Regional Governance Assessment of Andean Protected Areas by IUCN South America. -I participated in the V World Congress of National Parks, Durban, South Africa, participated in the study "Young Conservationists and the Future of Protected Areas Worldwide" and coordinated the workshop "National Parks Allies Network: Building broader support for Protected Areas in Venezuela",
