Current♦ Supervise and train volunteer tutors to provide one-on-one technology instruction to patrons on personal electronic devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and digital cameras.♦ Offer patron and staff instruction for the "Memory Depot" - a do it yourself (DIY) station which enables patrons the ability to digitize physical materials, such as photographic prints, negatives and slides, as well as VHS, audio cassettes, 3.5" floppy disks, and vinyl record albums. ♦ Provide 3D printing services including slicing files on Cura software, operate a Jellybox 3, Creality, and TAZ Lulzbot 3D printers, as well as communicate with patrons via a 3D printing app.♦ Staff "Ask Your Library," an online chat reference service that provides timely, authoritative answers to factual questions and guidance in conducting personal research using databases and freely available web resources. ♦ Fulfill "Library to Go" requests - an online concierge book selection service that makes it easy for patrons to find their next great read.♦ Perform collection development and management by weeding, marketing, and merchandising library materials.♦ Answer informational and reference questions from customers using print and electronic database resources.♦ Produce monthly adult take & make crafts, brain game handouts, adult coloring pages, and other creative passive adult programs.♦ Promote programs, services, physical and digital collections by creating and editing flyers, posters, and book displays using Canva.com and Pixlr.com.Key Contributions:♦ Awarded a Service Oriented Internal Recognition Award for going above and beyond.♦ Helped build a Jellybox 3 3D printer for our library to meet community demand; trained fellow staff on basic 3D printing and troubleshooting procedures; and engaged outside assistance for more serious printing challenges.
