Apoorva joined IBM Ix’s Bangalore studio in January of 2021. Since then she has co-facilitated EDT workshops, worked on proposals, managing the bi-weekly Ixponential sessions, initiating the development of the Covid-19 portal for IBM India, and expanding her practice in designing for accessibility. She previously worked for Trustee Savings Bank, UK, where she redesigned their loans application experience, by leading their user research, ux development, and testing with emphasis and focus on accessibility. She recently participated in the global patterns program where she helped envision a better internal mobility system and job search within IBM globally. Parallely, she has also volunteered as a design SME for NGOs and has conducted contextual inquiries of teachers from towns and villages to help build a learning management system for students still learning remotely. She is currently working with MetLife to set up accessibility conformance within their USMobile product, while also building a microsite for knowledge management and consolidated guidance on accessibility requirements from the CoE for the Metlife team.
