Apostolos Letsios since 2002 has worked as a CEO in public and private Hospitals following a 15 years career on Market Research & Consulting as a Research Manager and Statistician in large organizations and multinational companies.His career started in 1989 in the Insurance sector, when he joined Insurance Companies Statistical Service and worked as a statistician. In 1991 he moved to the Ministry of Commerce and worked in the strategic planning and policy analysis unit, organizing statistical research and analyzing big data.In 1993 he joined AC Nielsen and worked as head of the Statistical Department responsible for the Retail research on the FMCG, and the statistical service and support to the various national & multinational clients. Gaining huge experience in research, in 1999 he joined the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research, an academic institution, where he introduced in Greece EPSI (Extended Performance Satisfaction Index) Rating of stakeholder management and benchmarking with CSI ( Customer Satisfaction Index) and ESI (Employee Satisfaction Index ), for several business sectors of the Economy (Insurance, Health, Automobile, Telecommunications). Apostolos has served as a CEO & president of St Andrews General Hospital and University Hospital of Patras and General Manager of the Nephrology Unit of “YGEIA” Hospital. During his career in hospitals, he introduced innovative models of personnel management, resulting in an impressive gain of working time and the concomitant salary cost of the personnel. Collaborating with experts from UNIPART he made structural reforms in the supply chain of the University Hospital of Patras, which resulted in significant cost savings. Taking advantage funds from the European Community support framework (NSRF) he made large scale renewal of the building and medical infrastructure of the Hospitals in Patras which led to the upgrading of the quality and the effectiveness of services.
