I am a CEO with both the scientific background and the management skills to lead pharma and biotech businesses with vision and strategy. Following my studies of pharmaceutical sciences, I started my career as a pharmacist at Apotheek Van Wambeke. From there, my passion for compounding and entrepreneurship led me into the start-up environment. While co-founding 2 dynamic companies in the nutraceutical and dermatological field, I gained experience in roles ranging from product development, intellectual property, operational, quality, and production to scientific leadership, sales, and business development. I am currently CEO of BioNotus, where I have the aim to make BioNotus a reference company for bioanalysis and pharmacometrics, from preclinical to Phase I-IV clinical research, across Europe and the US. As such, I led BioNotus to GLP certification for both bioanalysis and PK-analysis, which is unique in Belgium. My goal is to lead by example, and my driving ambition is to inspire people and to help them grow – which I also do through facilitating research by PhD students and academic partners. Last but not least, happily married with Ann, I’m the proud dad of Hanne-Elisabeth and Simon-Elias.
