The main focus in my current role is Microsoft Purview and compliance/risk-related aspects of the Microsoft cloud. I'm responsible for the "Compliance Expert Team" within InSpark and together with my colleagues we work on new innovations, solutions, and consulting with our clients. The work includes workshops, architectural design sessions, pre-sales meetings and presentations. Part of the role is to expand my knowledge and expertise to my co-workers. As such, I'm also the "Technology coach" for Microsoft Purview related subjects. Working together with Microsoft NL, InSpark is working to be the most relevant partner for Microsoft Purview in the Netherlands (and BeNeLux).

ProRail is an organization of around 5.100 employees. The organization uses many SharePoint environments (2007, 2010) but some lack of governance and the multitude of customizations impede a swift migration to SharePoint 2013 or SharePoint Online.As part of the ProRail ECM program, it was decided in 2014 to create a brand-new SharePoint environment based on SharePoint Online. This environment was to be user friendly, but also needed to adhere to ProRail’s requirements on document- and record management.Within the program I have had multiple roles. The foremost is the business consultant role. Working with ProRail, I have been able to design a new SharePoint Online platform for document-, records management, search and collaboration. Also, the role involved management, governance and user adoption.User adoption is key for a new platform like SharePoint Online. Early on in the project the ProRail employees were invited to presentations, demonstration, workshops and “do it yourself” environments.Part of the project has been the creation of a migration methodology. In short, this methodology describes how the new ProRail SharePoint environment will meet the requirements of the different business units, but also adheres to the new standard.As part of the business consultant role, I was asked to head a hybrid management team. This management team was to provide support for the new environment and manage this environment. The term “hybrid” was meant to denote the fact that the environment as such was not yet managed by the IT department. But employees of this IT department were part of the hybrid team.

At this moment I am working as the ECM program solutions architect. Although this title may imply otherwise, this is a more innovation and functionality driven role. As such, I participate in ProRail projects involving the new SharePoint Online environment and take responsibility for the SharePoint Online roadmap for ProRail.

Amsterdam

The program DNB Connect involves the transition of the current IBM Lotus Notes environment used for email/calendaring and collaboration to a Microsoft cloud-ready Product Line Architecture. This PLA includes Exchange 2013, Skype for Business, Office 2013 and SharePoint 2013.My role within the program is business consultant. As such I’m asked to advice on functional and governance challenges of the program. I am also the liaison between the IT and business organization. I am part of the steering committee (stuurgroep) of the program in the role of independent QA consultant.My role involves amongst others:- Create and review documentation;- Overall guidance on the SharePoint design based on best practises;- Challenge the organization on SharePoint management and governance;- Sparring partner for business and IT.As I'm experienced in IBM Lotus Notes, Lync, Exchange, adoption and migration, I give pro-active advise on these subject matters also.

Consulting on the New way of work (unified communications and collaboration). How can platforms like SharePoint, Exchange and Office Communications Server work together to enhance business processes and support the knowledge worker.

For the Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) I have worked with IT and business on creating a vision for knowledge sharing, collaboration, enterprise content management and the intranet. Using workshops, personas and scenarios, we were able to paint a picture of the possible road ahead. I am also working as a consultant on the implementation of SharePoint 2013 as an Enterprise Content Management platform, which includes organizational implementation, information architecture and services architecture.

The responsibility of the lifecycle manager is the e-collaboration service within ING. As such, I was responsible for introducing this European e-collaboration service, setting up the architecture and infrastructure. I was author of multiple midterm plans (MTP’s), the vision-document ING’s new way of work (together with Microsoft) and the ING e-collaboration service roadmap 2006-2008. The role lifecycle manager required constant communication with the ING business units and ICT departments.

As architect for OPS&IT Banking I was responsible for the architecture and infrastructure of the ING European Exchange Server 2003, SharePoint Portal Server 2003, Live Communications Server 2005, IBM Lotus Notes/Domino and IBM Lotus Team Workplace environments. During this time I was a Lotus Principle Certified Professional. I wrote several whitepapers, scoping/vision documents and so-called Logical & Physical Architecture and Design (LPAD) documents on e-collaboration and communication. In 2006 I became named lead architect and member of the Corporate ING OPS&IT IT Infra Standards Committee.
