When I am not reviewing appraisals for NewRez, I can be found collecting eggs from my chickens, feeding my horse or driving my classic 1971 240z. I review complex properties, horse properties, co-ops, rural homes, condos, PUD’s, manufactured on land and income properties. Why do I review? I am all about the continuity of the appraiser appraising properties. The human appraiser is not flawless. There are no perfect appraisals. In the course of insuring the collateral is acceptable for a loan decision, if my 30 years of experience can help the appraiser improve the credibility or objectivity of the report via clarification, revision or correction, I am here for it. I am always available to help if you have questions. I try to post information or trivia to help improve our understanding of appraising, guidelines, GSE requirements and lender overlays.
