My main focus is the development of a slotted waveguide array antenna.Research highlights:•Performed a reverse engineering for the control circuit and RF circuit of a commercial VSAT system using vector network analyzer, oscilloscope, and circuit simulation software (ADS, CST).•Calculated the value of the antenna array elements for beamforming purposes using a combination of genetic algorithm and Taylor line method. The code was written using MATLAB.•Designed and fabricated a slotted waveguide array antenna working at Ku-band using CST, and HFSS.
