I have moved to a marketing position with Kindred at Home. I have combined my clinical knowledge with my belief in our service, to help others understand that there is assistance for those who are confined to home because of illness. Honestly, it is so much fun! I have the opportunity to visit patients, families and medical professionals every day to see how I can help them. I give presentations on balance and falls and Parkinson's Disease as well as on our home medical services. It is easy and fulfilling to speak about things that you believe in. Like I said, it is so much fun!

2009-- 2015Safe Strides Lead• Direct and manage balance and fall prevention program for home health company in 9 counties in Kentucky.• Instruct therapists in 19.5 CEU Balance and Fall Prevention Program, including certification testing and yearly recertification.• Assist Operations and Sales with identification of those who would benefit from this program• Treat and assist the therapists with treatment of patients with balance, dizziness and/or safety concerns. • Responsible for quality control, including proper treatment, documentation and therapist understanding. * Significant marketing responsibilities including presentations, sales calls, and follow-up Parkinson’s Services Director• Developed Parkinson’s Disease (PD) treatment program for Nurses, Physical and Occupational Therapists, including research driven treatment techniques, medication management, and improved understanding of the disease to assist with better outcomes.• Held many educational inservices on PD for Gentiva’s clinical staff as well as staff in Assisted Living Facilities, nursing homes, rehabilitations departments, etc.• Developed PD- specific Symptom and Side-effect Checklist and Medication Management tools to assist with condition management.• Trained Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Social Workers in the use of Parkinson’s Management tools.• Established and maintain strong relationships with the regions Parkinson’s Specialists, improving communication within the care team for improved patient care.• Individually treat people with Parkinson’s in multiple stages of the disease and in multiple living settings.
