We believe by providing employment with a living wage, benefits, and housing through our industry partners, as well as access to career-advancing training, we put participants in an environment to be successful for the long term. Consulted with the Executive Director and Board of Directors of Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with mission to prevent child trafficking, reduce child slavery, and promote children’s rights by rescuing and transitioning kidnapped children back into their rural fishing communities, and reducing kidnapping risks with Women’s Economic Empowerment Program (WEEP) providing small-business startup resources for women to become self-sufficient.📌 BOARD RELATIONS: Strengthened board operations by researching and identifying potential affluent board members from community and training Executive Director and Board President how to contact and cultivate these community members to join the board and become active.📌 FUNDRAISING | LEVERAGING RESOURCES: Helped the organization to increase funding opportunities by improving development team’s understanding of grant proposal writing process.- Developed and conducted a workshop covering importance of leveraging board resources for grant writing, along with researching, identifying, cultivating, and writing grant proposal.- Enabled organization to secure $20,000 through writing of African Women’s Development fund grant.
