About April Cline

📌 Who I Am:As an experienced nonprofit Executive Director for the past 10 years, I have a strong record in fundraising/development for a successful nonprofit as well as serving as consultant to an international NGO. I have earned dual MPA and MSW degrees at Arizona State University and gained extensive expertise in HUD and housing regulations as CEO of a property management company. You will find I am recognized as a catalyst for positive change, turning around underperforming organizations to achieve sustainable success by building and leveraging the strengths of the board of directors and volunteer teams; discovering and securing new, substantial revenue streams; cultivating community and government relationships; and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary groups.Through honest, transparent communication with senior-level management, public officials, members of boards of directors, business leaders, and program participants/clients representing diverse cultural backgrounds, I actuate the mission, vision, and strategic direction of the nonprofit organization. This includes applying strengths in strategic planning, board development, fundraising, grant writing, volunteer management, financial management, budgeting, community relations, and stakeholder engagement. 📌My Organization:Entryway is a national 501c3 organization that transitions individuals and families out of homelessness to economic self-sufficiency. Entryway offers an innovative approach to assist a growing population of situationally homeless individuals in our country by leveraging existing resources within the trillion multifamily industry.Entryway offers both employment and housing simultaneously through our network of property management partners. We believe by providing employment with a living wage, benefits, and housing through our industry partners, as well as access to career-advancing training, we put participants in an environment to be successful for the long term. We are opening the door for individuals to change the trajectory of their life and the lives of their children.📌 What Drives Me:I am drawn to alleviate the vast need within underserved and marginalized populations. I strive to improve the quality of life for these vulnerable individuals. Empowering them to reenter society, get jobs, and secure housing. So often they have been told they can’t, so I champion their strengths and opportunities to reclaim their identities and become productive members of the community.
