April works with the Litigation Practice Group supporting numerous attorneys and managing State and federal court cases from inception through the entire trial, judgment and the appeal process. April specializes in early case assessment and reviewing materials and using e-discovery databases in order to develop matters for resolution or trial. She was the lead paralegal in a 2012 Federal District trial that resulted in $168 million verdict for the client and made Nossaman's result one of 2013's top verdicts as chosen by The Daily Journal. She has been the go-to person for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority multi-year dispute over the $365 million construction of the Red Line subway project since 2001. A $93.2 million judgment was entered in favor of the MTA and is now in the appeal process. April also assists Nossaman's Infrastructure Practice group which serves clients from the earliest stages of project and program planning through to procurement for construction projects throughout the country. This group was once again named a "Transportation Practice Group of the Year" by Law360 for 2017, having been previously named a "Practice Group of the Year" in 2016 and 2015. With more than 25+ years of paralegal experience, April continues to learn and grow in the technological aspects the ever-changing legal field. Prior to her legal career, April managed merchandising programs at the U.S. Olympic Committee, the Stanford University Bookstore and Levi Strauss & Company.
