The larger goal of my research project is to compare separatist dynamics on the post-Soviet space by examining conflict territories in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The results of this research will be presented at the CERES research symposium in May 2015.In Georgia, I held one-on-one interviews in English and Russian with top Georgian government officials and heads of NGOs. I also traveled to the frozen-conflict territory of Abkhazia to conduct field research, where I met with representatives of Abkhaz government and civil society. -
