I am a doctor of occupational therapy with a passion for helping children to master skills needed to reach their maximum potential in the classroom and beyond. Before pursuing a second career as an occupational therapist, I taught middle school for 5 years including one year of coaching track. I have a special place in my heart for kids with ADHD and will advocate on their behalf to make sure that each child has the resources needed to achieve success in learning. Between my time as a teacher and going back to school, I took time off to raise my family which included four years as a homeschooling instructor and homeschool cooperative teacher. My ultimate goal as an occupational therapy include working within school districts as an occupational therapy practitioner as well as collaborating with those involved in policy and research to expand access to occupational therapy in schools.
