Conducted research on new and upcoming exhibits that could be used in publications, programs, tours, special events, etc. Aided in managing the docent program. This included weekly training sessions with the volunteers, creating information packets, organizing tour schedules and monthly calendars, and giving tours to local schools/scout groups.Assisted in the planning and implementation of children and toddler outreach programs hosted by the museum weekly. Designed a young adult outreach program, including conducting research on the artist, creating activities, developing a specialized tour that connected to the permanent collection, writing the press release for the event that was included in the museum’s monthly magazine, website, and blog.Wrote the policy for the Akron Art Library, a program that was created in collaboration with the Akron Public Library that allowed library patrons to rent out artworks in order to enrich the lives of those living in Akron.

Funded through the 21st CCLC Grant, the Brighter Tomorrow Extended Learning Program was created in order to provide out of school programs to high-need communities that were designed to help students meet state and local academic content standards while offering the students enriching activities that complemented their common core curriculum. My position at Glazed and Amused was to travel to the schools participating in the program and provide ceramic painting instruction that aligned with the state's art curriculum standards. My Responsibilities included: Transporting ceramics, paints, and supplies from the store to each school, providing specialized painting instruction to students, and ensuring cleanliness after each lesson.
