I believe that community is a foundational element to both our wellbeing and success and I center community in all of my work including that as a community resource, advocate and mom. I am most passionate about helping individuals realize the power of community in finding the resources they need to lead successful joyous lives focused on not only surviving but thriving.In addition to amplifying our innate needs for communal support and guiding on ways to discover it, through speaking and writing, I am also the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Xpress NEMT, Inc., a mobility service dedicated to providing transportation to individuals with mobility challenges due age, illness, injury or cognitive disability in Metro Detroit. Here we focus on providing solutions for individuals who are unable to use traditional modes of transportation.We have recently scaled Xpress to serve all of Metro Detroit as well as Lansing Michigan, where a local hub was just opened in 2023.In addition, I am the Executive Director of Center Organization a 501c(3) with a mission to eliminate the barriers to immobility including physical, monetary and others needs through the lense of the social determinants of health.As an entrepreneur I both find and offer support in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Metro Detroit. I serve as President of the Entrepreneurs Organization (Detroit Chapter) where I been an active member and board chair for the past 10 years.
