About April Farris

I serve on Texas's Fifteenth Court of Appeals. I practiced appellate law for over a decade before joining the bench. In 2020, I was one of five attorneys in the nation to be named a Law360 appellate Rising Star, an honor reserved for lawyers under 40. I clerked on the Fifth Circuit, and I served as assistant Solicitor General for the State of Texas, working on many of Texas's toughest appeals. I am a Texas Bar Foundation life fellow and a State Bar of Texas Appellate Section committee chair. My goal is to ensure that every litigant has a fair day in court.
