There is a gender gap in the fields of science and exploration. Women make up almost half of the total workforce but only 24% of STEM jobs, where they earn 86 cents for every dollar made by men in the same profession. Women also lag far behind men in STEM leadership positions.WINGS WorldQuest aims to address this disparity by cultivating talented women scientists and explorers and offering a platform for their discoveries and networking.WINGS WorldQuest Flag Carriers are women leading original field research or documentation that focuses on investigating questions about the nature of our world and advancing conservation efforts on land, air and water through science and advocacy. As part of their expeditions, all accepted Flag Carriers plan to write reports, make films, or otherwise formally share information about the findings and discoveries with the scientific community and the public

The largest MPA in Seychelles, Aldabra Atoll is a UNESCO World Heritage site of no small significance. Located in the Indian Ocean, the Aldabra Atoll is an outstanding example of a raised coral atoll. Due to its remoteness and inaccessibility, the atoll has remained largely untouched by humans for the majority of its existence.  Aldabra is one of the largest atolls in the world, and contains one of the most important natural habitats for studying evolutionary and ecological processes. It is home to the largest giant tortoise population in the world. The richness and diversity of the ocean and landscapes result in an array of colours and formations that contribute to the atoll's scenic and aesthetic appeal.

Nature Seychelles is a leading environmental organisation in the Western Indian Ocean. Conducted marine and terrestrial research on behalf of the Seychelles National parks authority. The majority of research focused on coral reef ecology and marine turtle nesting population studies.

Marine research, training volunteers to complete under water visual census of fish, coral and invertebrates.

Contributed to editing a field guide to the Patagonian fjord region of Southern Chile, now published. Renovated and set up an exhibition aquarium to educate people as to the flora and fauna of the fjords. Held lessons for the local school children to teach basic marine conservation concepts. Collected samples from the fjords for scientists and took part in a water sampling analysis that is part of a long-term study.
