As the founder and creative director of April Knit Studio, I have a passion for promoting sustainable fashion and helping slow fashion brands bring their ideas to life through my expertise in design. With over ten years of experience in the knitwear industry, I have worked with amazing knitters, mills, and artisans worldwide, creating thoughtful and consumer-focused designs that align with current trends.I love helping brands from the ground up, from seasonal color and concept to sourcing the perfect yarns and working with local and overseas factories. I understand the importance of responsible solutions, so I always strive to reduce waste and cost. My studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I specialized in Knitwear Design and Sustainable Design Entrepreneurship, have given me a unique and well-rounded perspective on the fashion industry. I'm always eager to learn new skills and expand my network. When I'm not at the studio, you can find me trying new restaurants with friends, giving my home a fresh new look, and spending quality time with my daughter, Kali.
