I am currently a full time student at Macquarie university, studying a degree of a Master of Research majoring in sociology. I am also the program coordinator of the Macquarie Undergraduate Research Internship (MURI) and a student leader within Macquarie University's Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS) program and Walanga Muru Tutoring program. Throughout my degree and various programs I have participated in I have cultivated a keen interest in criminological and sociological research. This interest led me to be selected to present my paper on the legality of pepper spray in Australia at the Australasian Conference of Undergraduate Research (ACUR) in 2015. I have also presented subsequent research papers at the 2016 Australasian Conference of Undergraduate Research on the student outcomes of the MURI program.
