I am looking for an entry level medical coding position where I can use my extensive professional experience in Education and my newly gained technical skills in CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, HIPAA compliance, coding guidelines, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, as well as computer proficiencies in Microsoft Suite and Google products.--Background -- -Elementary Science Teacher- 18 years- As an educator I have honed a diverse skill set that will prove valuable in medical coding. My experience as a teacher required me to possess exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to communicate effectively. With over 120 students each day, I managed multiple classes and curricula, maintained accurate records to analyze student data, and efficiently organized and categorized information. I developed and implemented curriculum to meet or exceed the state standards and benchmarks in science. I also communicated effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and administration on a daily basis to ensure success and create solutions to all challenges that arose.
