Communications Supervisor
CurrentResponsible for supervising and managing emergency communication services. Field complaints and violations of policy, and conduct personnel investigations as needed. Write thorough and valuable employee evaluations. Train, coach, and mentor employees, including counseling on issues that may arise. Regular management and scheduling of employees. Regularly analyze 911 call wait times through research of call data records and provide suggestions for improvement when necessary. Analyze and troubleshoot everyday technical and equipment issues. Thorough recordkeeping of employee conduct, performance, and attendance. Regularly communicate and coordinate with vendors and repair technicians. Special assignment: Training Coordinator - collaborate and engage with partners in the law enforcement community for training purposes, propose and develop new training courses, coordinate law enforcement dispatch training classes and instruct if needed. Special assignment: Leadership Development - research and analyze calls for service and emergency radio traffic through Quality Assurance purposes, communicate with dispatchers on their performance, run multiple simultaneous personal development groups with a leadership mindset, support and develop our senior dispatchers to reach their full potential.
