My story is about the pursuit of imagination. As a budding writer, fluent daydreamer, and a trained visual and performing artist, film became a natural transition in my early tweens, when I began working in production on short tele-plays at NETV Studios. This was accomplished under the tutelage of our local youth theater company and a friends father who extended what would literally be the invitation of a life-time. My love of Star Wars, science, writing and the arts was finally cemented into one multi-faceted medium where everything that I had learned in part and in whole was now relevant in many areas.Later as a broadcasting major at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I was eventually bored out of my mind because I always believed that the "cameras should be telling stories", and after additional production classes, and later being chosen to intern for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, it further cemented my passion to study film and television production at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. The training received at NYU ( at the Tisch and Gallatin schools - where I further studied the art of cinematography ), lead me to work and intern for both a number of major production companies and studios, in addition to working on a variety of independent film and videos, in order to further hone my craft.However, the real learning began in stepping out to become an entrepreneur, and not only rotating through many hats, but also marrying art with business, and pursuing innovation through creative collaboration.Imagination has been the constant narrative here, because it has had to be stretched, disciplined and trained and shared in ways that make sense, from the creative vision down to the bottom line. And every day, I strive to do it better with even better people in order to create work that ideally, has a positive impact on the world, means something personal to me, and gives a little bit of illumination in a dark and dreary night.
