Teach For America is a large education non-profit organization that recruits, develops, and supports a diverse network of leaders to expand educational equity. In my role within Teach For America's national programs and engagement team, I served as the lead in our Portfolio Management Office (PMO), where I played a pivotal role in managing the full project lifecycle of our customer-facing programs. Our primary objectives were to advance organizational learning and development goals and elevate our Net Promoter Score (NPS).Strategic Program Management:- Led the strategic planning and execution of a diverse portfolio of customer-facing programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and KPIs.- Collaborated cross-functionally with Insights, Program Design, and Marketing teams to translate program visions into actionable plans, delivering within scope, timeline, and budget constraints.- Successfully orchestrated program launches, achieving seamless coordination and high participant satisfaction.Team Leadership and Development:- Played a crucial role in the onboarding and mentorship of new team members, ensuring a smooth integration into our PMO and maintaining a cohesive team dynamic.- Contributed to quarterly planning efforts, aligning our initiatives with broader organizational strategies.Spearheaded ongoing knowledge management initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices within the team.Impact and Outcomes:- Achieved significant improvements in program effectiveness, as evidenced by an increase in our Net Promoter Score (NPS) and the achievement of org-wide learning and development goals.- Streamlined project management processes, resulting in greater efficiency and resource optimization.- Contributed to a culture of innovation and collaboration, enhancing our ability to adapt to evolving educational equity challenges.
